Here are a few helpful details to make planning your wedding on The Q Train seamless and memorable.
Can we legally get married on The Q Train?
Yes, all our packages include a registered celebrant and the legal paperwork needed to make your ceremony fully official, whether it’s held onboard or on the platform.
While we love a quick and easy wedding, bookings must be made at least 30 days in advance to comply with The Marriage Act 1961 (Cth). This gives your celebrant time to complete the legal requirements and ensure everything runs seamlessly on the day.
Where does the ceremony take place?
You can say your vows inside the train, surrounded by vintage carriage elegance, or on the platform at Drysdale or Queenscliff Stations for a scenic backdrop.
Can we bring our own photographer or stylist?
Yes. Our packages include the expertise of Paidi Flynn (photographer) and Sue Warner (celebrant). However, if you’ve got your heart set on your own team, please contact us today for pricing and options.
Can we invite more guests than the package allows?
Yes, subject to carriage capacity. Our Events team can tailor larger packages or full carriage hire to suit your needs.
Do you offer same-sex weddings or vow renewals?
Absolutely. Love is love — and every couple is welcome aboard The Q Train.
