Our People -
The Heart of The Q Train

The Q Train Team
Aboard every journey, it’s our people who make the difference.

From the kitchen to the carriage floor, from restoration to reservation, every part
of The Q Train experience is shaped by passionate individuals who bring warmth,
skill, and dedication to the rails.

The Family Behind The Q Train

What began as a family dream to bring the Bellarine’s flavours to life has become a celebrated dining journey on rails.

Founded by Andrew Bridger, The Q Train grew from decades of dedication to the Bellarine Railway, and a desire to build a legacy for our family.

Today, that same spirit continues to guide every journey – from the food we serve to the way we welcome each guest aboard.

Some of my favourite memories are from when the Saturday night sillies have kicked in – doing pack down after a Saturday night service while listening to music and dancing with coworkers. It’s usually because we are all tired, but it’s so fun.

Behind the Scenes

Long before the whistle blows, a dedicated team is hard at work preparing every detail of the journey. From restoring historic carriages to managing logistics, maintenance, and customer service, this is where the quiet magic happens.

These are the hands that keep the wheels turning and the experience seamless, ensuring that when guests step aboard, every element feels effortless.

Our Culinary Crew

Inside the kitchen carriage, innovation meets movement. Our chefs prepare every five-course degustation fresh onboard, using seasonal produce from the Bellarine, Geelong, and the Otways.

Cooking in motion demands precision, but it also invites creativity. Each menu is a new journey. One that reflects the landscape outside the window and the local stories on every plate.

Our Service Crew

Hospitality is at the heart of The Q Train. Our crew are more than service staff; they’re storytellers, and the friendly faces who make every guest feel at home.

Attentive, professional, and full of warmth, they bring a sense of ease to every carriage, making each journey as memorable as the menu itself.
