The Q Train Wins Silver at the 2025 QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards

The Q Train is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded Silver in the Tourism Restaurants and Catering Services category at the 2025 QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards.

Held on Friday night at the historic Fremantle Prison, the national awards brought together Australia’s most innovative and high-performing tourism operators across 26 categories. Being among the country’s top tourism businesses was a surreal and incredible honour.

A National Achievement Worth Celebrating

Earning a national Silver award is no small achievement. For the family behind The Q Train, this award is a celebration of the contribution we make to Victoria’s visitor economy.

It also places us among the nation’s leading tourism dining experiences, which is an honour we’re immensely proud of.

To reach the national stage, entrants must first win their category at state level. We’re proud to have earned back‑to‑back GOLD at the Victorian Tourism Awards in 2024 and 2025.

Marie‑Claire and Daniel attended the glamorous ceremony on behalf of Team Q Train, enjoying a well‑deserved long weekend in Fremantle. Between the historic venue, the warm WA hospitality, and the electric atmosphere of the awards, it was a night to remember.

Naturally, they squeezed in a visit to Rottnest Island as well!

Another highlight of the evening was the announcement that Geelong will host the 2026 Australian Tourism Awards, to be held on 19 February 2027 at the stunning new Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre.

Our region is ready to welcome hundreds of industry leaders, operators, and visitors for tourism’s night of nights, bringing with it a positive ripple effect for local accommodation, dining, attractions, and small businesses.
